Be prepared to write down conflicts between February - April 2017. Auditions and Performance Location: Pearl Theater 14803 Park Almeda Dr. Houston, TX 77047 Auditions: Sunday, January 22, 7:30pm - 9:00pm Monday, January 24, 7:30pm - 9:00pm Rehearsals: Begin in February. Synopsis: Winner! 1965 Tony Award, Best Author of a Play Nominee! 1965 Tony Award, Best Play This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys play poker in the messy apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. Late to arrive is Felix Unger, who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed, and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean freak and the slob decide to share a living space, as THE ODD COUPLE is formed! Cast of Characters: Roles: 6 men & 2 women Oscar Madison: A slovenly, recently divorced sportswriter. Felix Unger: A fastidious, hypochondriac news writer for CBS whose marriage is ending. Murray: An NYPD policeman, one of Oscar and Felix's poker buddies. Speed: One of the poker buddies. Gruff and sarcastic, often picking on Vinnie and Murray. Vinnie: One of the poker buddies. Vinnie is mild-mannered and henpecked, making him an easy target for Speed's verbal barbs. Roy: One of the poker buddies. Oscar's accountant. Roy has a dry wit but is less acerbic than Speed. Cecily and Gwendolyn Pigeon: Oscar and Felix's upstairs neighbors, a pair of giggly, dizzy British sisters. The former is a divorceÌe, the latter a widow.
