Set to an indie-electronic/alt-rock soundtrack, Earthly Delights is a universal story of joy & wonder as seen through the eyes of a young boy. Drawing inspiration from the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, we journey into a world of magic, illusion, love, & death. Come prepared to laugh & dance! Be ready to leave inspired!

Bluebird (M or F, 9+) – part bird & human
Brownbird (M or F, 9+) – part bird & human
Redbird (M or F, 9+) – part bird & human
Plantbird (M or F, 9+) – part bird & plant
Ravenflower (M or F, 9+) – part raven & flower
Petal (M or F, 9+) – part human & flower
Tree (M or F, 20+) – part human & tree, an elder-god
Marlene – (F, 20+) – our sexy, German emcee
Boy – (F, 20+) – everyman

VOICE-OVER CHARACTERS
Mary Jane Devereaux – a frisky, elderly lady
Betty Sue – a ditz, ding bat, elderly lady
Dottie – the pragmatist of the group
Miss Shirley – the eldest of the ladies – sarcastic
Announcer Dude – a typical TV announcer

*All characters perform movement & sing.
**Not all characters speak.


***All actors will learn a small choreo routine & a short section of music from the show. Actors should come prepared to move their bodies & if asked, to read a section from the script.
