TRUE LOVE LIES

“Sometimes I think the longer people are together the less they know each other…” From the author of our previously acclaimed productions of Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love and Poor Super Man TLH is pleased to present Brad Fraser’s new stunning, dark and dangerous comedy – True Love Lies. From the opening moments of TLL to its closing lines, this witty, fast-paced explicit comedy about a nuclear family is funny, entertaining and a touching expose of their lives and long held secrets. A typical family – with all the trails and tribulations of living with teenage children – find that a lover from the father’s past makes them all realize that life is not what it seems. Their fashionable lifestyle starts to fall around their ears, as we look on, wondering what can possibly go wrong next! The play continues the with the character of David who was first introduced in Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love and later in Poor Super Man.

The show was first produced in January 2009 at The Royal Exchange in Manchester, England to critical and audience acclaim. Theater LaB Houston will be the second company in the US to produce TLL.

Cast of 5 - VERY SPECIFIC ROLES
2 Female actresses:
(1) age 40-45; (2) age 20-25
2 Male actors (age 40-50)
1 Male actor (18-20, to play high school sophomore)

Come prepared with a 1-minute comedic/dramatic monologue.
