Just wanted to post a note on our behalf thanking everyone for taking the time to log in and submit so much news lately! Now, if you are wondering where your article is, allow me to fill you in on some of the process.
Rather than Post all the news at once, we prefer to publish in cycles. This process helps keep our news feed updated more routinely by the various search engines and portals that cross link with us. In addition, remember that events are posted no earlier than 2 weeks before the event (for this same reason) and sometimes are published within a week of the event, (if you are concerned about a news story not going thru, feel free to contact us).
Presentation: You've certainly noticed our layout changes which we are still fine tuning when we can: We have recently put a dedicated link to Community Theatre events because of the sheer amount we have been getting. With regard to the Spotlight, we do try and rotate the stories in that section at various points throughout the week and are researching some more ways to do this effectively. We are also looking at adding a general OPENING SOON block on the front page in the near future.
We currently have 8 stories in Queue, all of which will be scheduled to publish at various points throughout the week. We usually do this type of scheduling on Sundays, which is when we have the most time to commit to the process. So if you submit throughout the week, often, it will not be reviewed and scheduled until the following Sunday.
I hope this helps explain our process and also lets you know where the story you submitted may be, if you submitted it already, perhaps it's just "waiting in the wings".
