Rice University hosts a week-long residency of the Actors From The London Stage, every other year, made possible by the generous gifts of
the Alan and Shirley Grob Fund for Shakespeare in Performance.

The Actors From The London Stage is a touring ensemble of five professional actors who hail from such prestigious companies as the
Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Theatre of Great Britain and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

In this special presentation of one of
Shakespeare's most loved comedies, the five actors play all of the roles, both starring and supporting roles. "Taming of the Shrew" is
perhaps the most popular incarnation of the notorious "battle of the
sexes."

It is a tale of true love, and the clashes that such a love so often beget.
