The 1st Annual “Not So Gala” Gala

Tired of the same old charity scene? Wishing for an alternative way to give back? BooTown is throwing the official “FUN-raiser” of the year, raising funds for both the Houston Fringe Festival and Writers in the Schools.

The “Not So Gala” Gala will feature finger-licking BBQ (vegetarian choices available), moon walks, a silent auction, live entertainment..


by DJ Reverberation, games and of course, the fabulous theatrical styling’s of BooTown’s talented artists.

MORE info: The 1st Annual “Not so Gala” Gala is a kickoff event to the organizations’ Houston Fringe Festival, scheduled for May 15 – 17. The Houston Fringe Festival, a weekend long festival producing new works in the performance art and showcasing works by local theatre groups, dancers, improv troupes, film makers and more.

A portion of the proceeds from the Houston Fringe Festival benefit Writers in the Schools, a local organization that gives children all over Houston the gift of creativity, the power to discover their voices and freedom of expression through pairing professional writers with students in a classroom environment.
