Unity Theatre in Brenham, now entering its 13th season, proudly announces its Season for 2007-2008

Continuing our commitment to exploring classic repertoire, Unity Theatre brings Oscar Wilde's perfect comedy The Importance of Being Earnest to the stage.

February brings with it love and romance in the form of one of Canada's rising new playwright's and a regional premiere of the romantic drama Mary's Wedding. Set in the landscape of World War I's Canada and Europe, we follow Mary and Charlie through their epic journey of love.

Our season closes with a heart warming musical for the whole family to enjoy -- Forever Plaid: The Heavenly Hit Musical. Enjoy this 1950's review with The Plaid's performing their "last show!"

Unity Theatre continues to explore new opportunities for theatre patrons, young and old with our Education Series featuring a staged reading of An Original Ragtime Musical, The Gift of the Magi, based on the classic O. Henry short story--adapted by Resident Artist Kate Pogue and music written by composer Brett Youens.

In March, Unity brings Two One-Acts by Thornton Wilder to the stage: The Happy Journey from Camden to Trenton & Pullman Car Hiawatha. These endearing stories from the Pulitzer-Prize winning author will also Tour into the region's public schools.

Lastly, for a Holiday Event, Unity Theatre presents a fresh retelling of a classic Christmas tale: Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol by Tom Mula. Looking at the Scrooge story from Marley's perspective, this will be a ghost story to uplift your spirits for the season.

Featuring artists from around the region, and a stellar Resident Artist company, Unity Theatre continues to produce professional theatre with a spirit of community.
