| Dinner with Friends By Don Margulies
The NET (Northeast Theatre) at Houston Community College System’s Northeast College, is pleased to announce its inaugural production, Dinner with Friends, by Donald Margulies. Winner of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize, Dinner with Friends is a skillful construction of keen psychological insight into what can happen when a couple tries to survive their best friends’ divorce.
"…Margulies writes about relationships with such intelligence and spiky humor that his comedy-drama…becomes something quite wonderful." —Time. "…wry and keenly observed and bathed in the unspoken sorrow that can sneak up on you in middle age…" —NY Times. "…full of life, warmth, laughs and wisdom…" —NY Daily News. "A breezy comedy of modern manners that turns poignant and deeply affecting by its end. Margulies touches chords that resonate with a deep affecting humanity." —San Francisco Examiner.
Directed by Debra Schultz, and featuring Mark Carrier, Angela Denny, Tony Esparza and Karen Schlag, The show will run from November 9-10 at the Northline Mall Campus, and November 16-18 at the Northeast Campus.
