Edward Albee is a member of the Dramatist Guild Council, has received three Pulitzer Prizes for drama, a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement, as well as the Kennedy Center Honors and the National Medal of the Arts. He taught playwriting at the University of Houston from 1989 – 2003.
