GROSS INDECENCY: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde

LSC-Kingwood’s drama department performs “Gross Indecency” written by Moises Kaufman & the Tectonic Theatre Project.

October 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. and October 4 at 2 p.m. in the SFA Performing Arts Theatre.

Even as “Ideal Husband” and “The Importance of Being Earnest” were being celebrated on stage every night, during the day Oscar Wilde was being attacked in the courtrooms of England. Using trial transcripts,
personal correspondence, interviews and other materials nine men tell the story of the downfall of a great man whose artistic genius has long been overshadowed by scandal.

This will be the LSC-Kingwood’s entry for the 2009 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

Performances are October 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. and October 4 at 2 p.m. in the SFA Performing Arts Theatre. Tickets are available at the door for General Admission $12, Seniors (55 ) $10, and Students $5. For more information call 281-312-1532.
