Theatre Suburbia celebrates their 51st Season with several Houston Premieres:

A TEXAS ROMANCE
September 16 – October 15, 2011
Houston premiere comedy by Ellsworth Schave
Directed by Judy Reeves

1928, and a small town in Texas is the setting for a love story as only can be found in this time and place. When the young man comes-a-calling, how will the lady respond? Love, life and family all come to play in the answers.

DEAR SANTA
November 4 – December 3, 2011
Houston premiere comedy by Norm Foster
Directed by Elvin Moriarty
From the Dear Santa letter of a child we can all learn the message of the season. But don’t forget the elves; they are always in the middle of everything. This is Holiday fun for all.
Auditions: September 18 and 19, 2011

DEADLY MURDER
January 6 – February 4, 2012
Houston premiere thriller by David Foley
Directed by Suzanne King
The lonely lady was only looking for an evening’s companionship; she got so much more. This tryst with a twist is a thriller that Hitchcock would love.

FIRST BAPTIST OF IVY GAP
April 13 – May 12, 2012
Houston premiere comedy by Ron Osborne
Directed by Doris Merten
In 1945 the ladies group gathered to roll bandages for our troops overseas. It will take 25 years, until 1970 to find out all that was going on in this little town. A sweet story of the strength of the ladies left behind.

THE PSYCHIC
June 1 – 30, 2012
Houston premiere comic murder mystery by Sam Bobrick
Directed by Lee Raymond
Adam Webster has found a new way to make the rent money; he will become a Psychic. He can act mysterious and give a few vague readings, what can it hurt. Well, the dead guy in the trunk of the car might know. It may take a psychic to tell what all is going on here.

Olde Time Summer Meller Drammer
July 20 – August 25, 2012
Directed by Doris Merten
Nell: Oh woe is me! Oh lack-a-day. All is lost, I cannot go on. Our little town will just wither and die without our summer show.
Hero-boy: Never fear, dear little Nell; I am here to save the day. By my very own struggle and strife, I have convinced the evil powers that be not to cancel the Olde Time Summer Meller Drammer.
Auditions: June 3 and 4, 2012
