You've registered but cant log-in:

1) The most common reason is that you have not confirmed your email account. Upon registering an email is sent to your email address with a link you must click on to confirm you account.

------Check your bulk e-mail, too.

2)If after an hour has passed upon your registering, click on the contact us link and let us know what email you tried to sign up with. To verify your email and to save a step you can email us from that account expressing that you have not received a confirmation email.

Did you know if you view your account and update profile, you can select an option (near the bottom) to store username in a cookie for a year?

This useful feature will make it so that when you visit theatreport, your username will display in the field already for you.

It is a "harmless" cookie and no tracking or other information is ever tracked.

So how does it work then?
It's an annonymous cookie that assigns a username to a random #, your browser will recognize that # and associate with a username.

Is it deletable? Yup! If you don't like it, you can always change the option!

We are STILL looking into a remember me feature for those that have requested it!

Soon to be added to the FAQ's section.

QUESTION:
How come I can't Log-in? How come EVERY time I click Browser back I get an error?

There have been no reports from our users of this yet:
BUT:
If you have problems logging to theatreport and or everytime you click browser back you get a weird error; your Norton software or browser settngs could be preventing you from enjoying the ease and use of theatreport!

Solution One:
Enable Cookies for this site

Solution 2 Norton settings:
To configure Norton Security (if you uise it)

Right click the icon in the bottom right of your screen that represents Norton Personnal Firewall and click on 'Norton Personnal Firewall' in the pop-up grey menu. Go to 'Options', then click the 'Web Content' tab at the top. Click on the 'Add Site' button at the bottom left and type in the name of Theatreport.com and click OK. Once added to the list, highlight it with your mouse and and then look at the right hand pane. Where it says 'Information About Visited Sites', click the 'permit' button, and click OK. Then you should be able to use the site without any bother.
---
Summary:

This is basically an IE/norton issue. Basically for instance, it's like a popup blocker. (in this case a harmless cookie). The higher your security settings for browsing the fewer sites you may be able to visit but you can always add a site you trust to your list of Trusted Sites.

IF THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL TO YOU dont worry there is not a major problem we just heard that its possible that some people might not be experiencing the Port as easily as possible.
