The new season is full of delights...
as broad audience appeal is carefully balanced with innovative artistic challenges for this company that has been called Houston’s “little theatre that can”.

Opening the season in July will be the classic musical Chicago, a hilarious and wry look at justice and celebrity that is packed with thrilling dance and a hit score. October brings the sci-fi spoof musical Little Shop of Horrors to the stage, complete with a sparkling doo-wop score and a man-eating plant that sings!

The Texas Repertory Theatre continues its tradition of offering classic Christmas fare for the entire family by bringing a fresh new adaptation of Miracle on 34th Street to holiday audiences.

The Spring begins with a true classic and the greatest treatise on love ever penned, William Shakespeare’s beautiful Romeo & Juliet, in a lushly romantic new production that features The Texas Repertory Theatre’s outstanding company of actors.

In the theatre’s tradition of fostering new works, March brings a Regional Premiere new comedy Kite’s Book: Tales of an 18th Century Hit Man. A Pirates-of-the Caribbean-meets-James Bond swashbuckler, the play follows our man Kite as he battles and quips his way through a rogue’s gallery of historical characters. Closing the season in May will be the hilarious farce comedy A Flea in Her Ear, one of the funniest plays ever written.
