The story was inspired by the phenomenon of popular singer Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the army in 1958. The original Broadway production was a Tony Award-winning success. It spawned a London production and several major revivals, a sequel, a 1963 film and a 1995 television production. Full of great songs and dances, Bye Bye Birdie is a must-see show this summer.

Come and enjoy this family favorite from June 11-27, 2010 at Playhouse 1960. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays June 20 and 27 at 2pm. The theatre is located at 6814 Gant Rd, Houston 77066 (off Cutten Rd near FM 1960). For more information go to www.ph1960.com or call 281-587-8243.
