The event is a celebrity-studded, one-night-only benefit performance of the specially-created musical theater piece The Best Little Icehouse in Texas with cameo appearances by local celebrities including Apollo 13 Flight Director Gene Kranz, Astros great Larry Dierker, and Bravo’s Project Runway Season 2 Winner (and local LOT 8 boutique owner) Chloe Dao, Fox 26 Morning News Team's Lanny Griffith, Andrews Kurth attorney Sylvia Matthews, Harris County Commissioner Sylvia Garcia, PBS’s Ernie Manouse and Doug Mueller, Momentum Audi’s Jared Lang, and Health & Fitness Sports Magazine’s Lisa Malosky. Professional actors Doris Davis, Katharine Randolph, and Joel Sandel will be anchoring the production...

The Follies will highlight an evening which will feature an auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres reception provided by Mélange, the one-hour performance followed by a champagne dessert. The event will be staged at MST’s facility at Chelsea Market and will benefit the theater’s youth and outreach programs. Event sponsors are Bracewell & Giuliani and Continental Airlines.

Live and silent auction highlights include the blue satin gown worn by of Tony-award winner Carlin Glynn as “Miss Mona” in the original Broadway and London productions of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (one of costume designer Ann Roth’s favorites, this gown was featured on the original album cover); a baseball bat autographed by Craig Biggio; up to 7-day Holland America Line cruise for two to Alaska with 2 coach class Continental Airlines tickets; lunch for two with Larry Dierker; lunch for two with Gene Kranz; and a one-of-a-kind sculpture by Texas artist David Graeve.
